Meet Vasylyna, the communications and PR manager for the Carpathian Sich battalion.
She was born in the Lviv region and has been with the battalion since its establishment.
The Carpathian Sich battalion, founded by Oleh Kutsyn during the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2014, has a proud history of service and sacrifice. Since its re-establishment as a volunteer battalion in 2022, the Carpathian Sich has welcomed many international volunteers, thanks to its unique English-speaking departments. The unit has served with distinction during some of the most challenging battles in Ukraine’s recent history: fights near the Donetsk airport, the battles for Pisky, and after the full-scale invasion in 2022 in the Lyman direction.
Despite the death of the battalion commander Oleh Kutsyn, in July 2022, Vasylyna continues to serve with courage and commitment, taking on a new role as deputy company commander for moral and psychological support, which is essential to her fellow fighters.
In her civilian life, Vasylyna worked in the event industry. She worked with various music bands. In particular, she was responsible for the main stage of the “Kholodnyi Yar Festival of the Unconquered Nation”. With her advertising and event management expertise, Vasylyna brings unique skills to the unit.
To support this brave battalion, you can donate with “Carpathian Sich” in the note or choose Vasylyna’s battalion in the “Hero” section on our Support page. Your recent donations to our fundraiser Ukrainian Romance have helped the Carpathian Sich acquire night vision devices worth more than $30K.
Similar to securing safe movement, ADS are crucial to evacuating wounded soldiers. They prevent enemy detection and attacks, ensuring that evacuation teams can carry out their missions without additional threats.
Engineering units responsible for laying mines in gray zones and building defensive lines, bridges, and crossings during the advancement of assault units rely on ADS to ensure their safety. These systems help maintain secure logistical connections with the rear, ensuring the continuity of operations.
Soldiers, in particular, FPV drone operators can work closer to enemy lines with relative safety by using ADS. These systems protect against enemy detection and attacks, enhancing both safety and operational effectiveness.
Moving to and from combat positions is one of the most dangerous moments for troops, especially for FPV drone teams. ADS blocks enemy signals, ensuring safer movement and preventing enemy drones from targeting and destroying the crew.
