Is it possible that one toy that we give to a child will change his life forever or at least leave a positive imprint in his memory? We are sure that it is!
The place that you and I will now visit is a school near Lviv. Almost 40 children from the eastern regions of Ukraine, such as Kharkiv, Bakhmut, Donetsk, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, and Odesa, live here. They all live in the school, they sleep on mattresses on the ground and every time the air raid alarm sounds they go down to the bomb shelter!
We noticed that when we give toys to children, their mood quickly rises, and they become more open to communication with each other and adults. They learn to share and feel that there are not only such terrible things as war.
And if war breaks out again (which I would not like very much), or they find themselves in the same situation, they will know what to do – help their neighbours!
