Starlinks 101

a basic guide to connectivity on the frontline

Initially, we planned to buy 101 Starlink terminals, but we changed our goal and bought 111 Starlink terminals for the Ukrainian Military to ensure our heroes on the front lines stay connected!

We bought the Starlinks at 50% discounts in Europe, making it ~240 USD per terminal. That helped us buy TWICE AS MANY Starlinks for the same budget!

111 Starlinks delivered to our Heroes!

Thanks to your generous contributions, we raised $27,103 in less than a month during March. At the beginning of May, we traveled to deliver Starlinks to the dedicated military personnel on the ground from 15 AFU units!

In total, we spent $27,538 for 111 Starlinks and 10 Starlink adapters.

We also want to thank our 4 ambassadors, who helped raise $2,357 towards our collective goal.

Step 1: Reaching the goal!

Step 2: Learning about our Starlink expertise

Learn how we raised more than 50 000$ and effectively bought 100 Starlinks for our Defenders in 2022.

Learn about our Starlink expertise as Dzyga’s Paw founder, Dimko Zhluktenko, is speaking on Starlink deployment to some of the most prominent media.

Step 3: Why Starlinks?

In the chaos of battle, staying connected is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. Starlink, with its revolutionary satellite technology, provides our frontline units with a lifeline to crucial information, orders, and communication channels, ensuring they remain one step ahead.

Despite our disagreements with Elon Musk’s stance on Ukraine, we recognize that Starlink is a great product providing a technological edge to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. At the request of our friends defending Ukraine, we keep on delivering this essential resource.

Step 4: Starlink Resilience

In the intense environment of warfare, Starlinks are essentially disposable, often being destroyed by enemy fire. While some can be fixed, most are beyond repair.

We have supplied those Starlinks, and they get damaged by the shrapnel on the battlefield, but still we can repair many of them! Usually, we just take spare broken terminal and make one out of two. We have already fixed them, and try to make the most use of the terminals.

Step 5: Becoming our Ambassador

You can run a smaller fundraiser yourself on our behalf and help us fund a few Starlink terminals! We will provide you with everything needed for your fundraiser. Just message us at hello@dzygaspaw.com!

Step 6: Completing Starlinks 101

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated donors! Your unwavering support will power us through Starlinks 101, ensuring our frontline units stay connected and resilient. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the essentials of communication in the field.

We love you! Your paws.

Similar to securing safe movement, ADS are crucial to evacuating wounded soldiers. They prevent enemy detection and attacks, ensuring that evacuation teams can carry out their missions without additional threats.

Engineering units responsible for laying mines in gray zones and building defensive lines, bridges, and crossings during the advancement of assault units rely on ADS to ensure their safety. These systems help maintain secure logistical connections with the rear, ensuring the continuity of operations.

Soldiers, in particular, FPV drone operators can work closer to enemy lines with relative safety by using ADS. These systems protect against enemy detection and attacks, enhancing both safety and operational effectiveness.

Moving to and from combat positions is one of the most dangerous moments for troops, especially for FPV drone teams. ADS blocks enemy signals, ensuring safer movement and preventing enemy drones from targeting and destroying the crew.
