Nazar began volunteering in 2015 when Ukraine was going through one of the most challenging periods in its history. He actively supported the “Azov” battalion and other units, providing them with necessary resources and moral support.
Alongside his volunteer work, Nazar was also active in public life. He participated in reenactments of World War I and World War II battles and was involved in filming documentary films.
With the onset of full-scale war on February 24, 2022, Nazov took it upon himself to organize a support hub for newly formed “Azov” units in Kyiv and Zaporizhia. This was an important step that helped strengthen the country’s defensive capabilities. In May of the same year, he joined the fight as part of the Special Operations Forces “Azov Kyiv” (now the 3rd Separate Special Forces Battalion). His primary motivation was to take a direct part in defending Ukraine.
While fighting on the front during the war, Nazar enrolled in Ivan Franko University’s Geography Department in September 2023, studying information technologies for environmental protection. He plans to work in this field after the war and also dreams of starting a family and raising children. For him, all his struggle and dedication to the country are, first and foremost, an investment in his children’s future and the entire Ukrainian nation.
Similar to securing safe movement, ADS are crucial to evacuating wounded soldiers. They prevent enemy detection and attacks, ensuring that evacuation teams can carry out their missions without additional threats.
Engineering units responsible for laying mines in gray zones and building defensive lines, bridges, and crossings during the advancement of assault units rely on ADS to ensure their safety. These systems help maintain secure logistical connections with the rear, ensuring the continuity of operations.
Soldiers, in particular, FPV drone operators can work closer to enemy lines with relative safety by using ADS. These systems protect against enemy detection and attacks, enhancing both safety and operational effectiveness.
Moving to and from combat positions is one of the most dangerous moments for troops, especially for FPV drone teams. ADS blocks enemy signals, ensuring safer movement and preventing enemy drones from targeting and destroying the crew.
