Makhno was born in the old Ukrainian city of Khotyn, founded back in the times of Kyivan Rus.
Makhno fought russians in 2014-2015 as a member of the “Bukovinian Bisons” border guard unit but then decided to go to Poland to work on solar panels.
But when a full-scale invasion started, he immediately went to Ukraine!
“On the first day, while I was getting home, I kept following the news, how the enemy approached Kyiv, Kherson, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv. My work colleague and friend comes from Prybuzkyi village, Mykolaiv region. He was returning with me and constantly received calls from his fellow villagers, sending photos of the destruction of their village. I realized that the same fate could be waiting for my city!”
Makhno immediately decided to join the 80th Air Assault Brigade, as he had combat experience and a desire to stop the enemy before they approached his home! He had a 5-year-old son and wife back there. This was a great motivation to prevent destruction at home.
At first, Makhno was in assault infantry, and then he became a UAV operator flying drones.
In August 2024 Makhno was killed in action during the Kursk offensive.

Similar to securing safe movement, ADS are crucial to evacuating wounded soldiers. They prevent enemy detection and attacks, ensuring that evacuation teams can carry out their missions without additional threats.
Engineering units responsible for laying mines in gray zones and building defensive lines, bridges, and crossings during the advancement of assault units rely on ADS to ensure their safety. These systems help maintain secure logistical connections with the rear, ensuring the continuity of operations.
Soldiers, in particular, FPV drone operators can work closer to enemy lines with relative safety by using ADS. These systems protect against enemy detection and attacks, enhancing both safety and operational effectiveness.
