WHO WE ARE
Dzyga's Paw — a charity fund from Lviv, Ukraine
Dzyga’s Paw is a Ukrainian charity that equips frontline soldiers with the technology they need to protect our independence. Secret Santa is our annual Christmas campaign that connects frontline soldiers with people around the world who want to show they care.
Soldiers write honest letters — personal wishes, big or small. You read them, choose one that speaks to you, and either send a gift or donate. We handle everything after: purchasing, packing, and delivering to the front line.
how it works
Decide how you want to help
Read the letters (if claiming one)
Fill the application form
We deliver, you receive proof
Choose your way
Two ways to participate
You can become a personal Santa for one soldier, or support the project so our team covers letters that still need one.
Claim a soldier’s letter
Read the letters, choose one, and take full responsibility for making that wish come true. One letter — one Santa.
Donate the full amount
Transfer money — we purchase the gift and deliver it to the front line on your behalf.
- Read the letters and pick one
- Fill the application form
- Donate the full amount for that letter
- We buy, pack & deliver — you get a thank-you photo
or buy the gift yourself
Purchase the item in your country and ship it to us — we’ll take it the rest of the way.
- Read the letters and pick one
- Fill the application form
- Receive our shipping address by email
- Ship the gift — we deliver to the front line
Please note: the letters folder is updated manually, so a letter may still appear there after someone has claimed it. The drop-down menu in the form is always up to date — if a letter isn’t listed there, it’s already taken. Please pick another one.
Support the project with any amount
No letter claim needed. Donate any amount directly to the project and our team will pool these contributions to fulfill letters that still don’t have a Santa.
Every contribution reaches the front — we decide which remaining letters to cover once the total is ready.
After you apply
Being a Santa comes with perks
The moment you submit the form, a lot of good things start happening.
Instant instructions
Right after submitting, you receive an automatic email with everything you need — next steps, shipping details, timeline. No waiting, no confusion.
Write to your soldier
You can write a personal letter to the defender you chose — and hear back from them. A real human connection across the distance.

Thank you so much for this initiative!!! It brings back such warm childhood memories of a little miracle. The whole group opened the box together, and then we spent a whole week at our position feasting on what was inside. It means so much to know that someone so far away cares about you.
It’s fun, it’s cheerful, and it makes tough, bearded men light up like kids. And that matters so much, because… in war, there’s very rarely anything to be happy about.
- A wonderful initiative! It gives us the motivation to keep going
- We feel that someone out there needs us
- I’m so grateful, and I’m looking forward to it even more than New Year’s
- It’s a miracle of connection, something we all miss so much right now.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I donate any amount?
Yes — there’s no minimum. Even a small contribution is pooled with others to fulfill wishes. Every amount counts when it reaches the front.
What if I can't afford to fulfill an entire letter?
That’s completely fine. You don’t have to claim a letter to take part. Choose “Support the project with any amount” and donate whatever works for you — we pool these contributions and use them to cover letters that still don’t have a Santa. Just include “+ Secret Santa” in your payment comment so your donation reaches this project. There’s a copy button next to the donation form that fills it in for you.
Where do I ship purchased gifts?
We email shipping details to Santas who claimed a letter with the “buy the gift yourself” option. If you claimed a letter and haven’t received the email, or if you want to send sweets or treats without claiming a letter, write to santa@dzygaspaw.com and we’ll send you the details.
How will I know my gift was delivered?
Once your soldier receives the gift, we send you a thank-you photo directly. That’s the moment.
Is Dzyga's Paw a registered charity?
Yes. We are a Ukrainian charitable foundation registered in Lviv (EDRPOU: 44831336). Contact us at hello@dzygaspaw.com.
